How to choose an ABA provider?

To choose an ABA provider, start with the basics. Does the provider serve your area, take your insurance and have staff for the hours your child needs?

Then look at the people. Ask who the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be, and look them up in the BACB’s public certification registry. Ask which assessment they use, how goals get picked, how often you’ll see progress data and whether you can watch a session.

In Colorado, ABA clinics won’t need a state license until August 1, 2027, and behavior analysts won’t until July 1, 2028. Until then, most of the checking is up to you. Our directory lets you compare providers by city, insurance and setting before you call.

Ready to compare? The Colorado ABA directory lists providers by city, insurance and setting. We don’t rank or recommend providers.
